- As far as I've been able to tell from some of the developer's note on the Epsilon
- homepage, this unit is basically the same as the Austex AGX chunky graphics adapter.
- It seems that both plug into the RGB port and provide the ability to convert planar
- graphics to chunky graphics, but also be able to pass through normal Amiga video
- signals. Check out the Austex homepage. You can find it on the Amiga Web Directory.
-
- Also, there are a few other external, high color frame buffers. There's the DCTV,
- the HAM-E, and the Colorburst (I think there's a review of the Colorburst on Aminet).
- I've seem plenty of ads for used DCTV's and HAM-E's on the amiga marketplace
- newsgroup.
-
- There's also another choice. CeV designs is marketing several Zorro II (and
- hopefully Zorro III) adapters for the A1200, and there certainly is a proliferation
- of Zorro graphics cards. But these special adapters are a bit expensive and
- necessitate placing the A1200 in an external tower (I personally think they'd look
- better in a tower). They've also released a video slot adapter for any Amiga. I
- believe they were selling the Video slot adapter for around $100. With this, one
- could install an Opalvision or similar card.
-
- Hope that helped,
